CD BUYING SPREE

Yes, I still buy CDs. Today, I bought 8 of them due to a spontaneous reaction in my frugal mental decision-making computer.

PUBLIC LIST OF THINGS TO DO

• Start garden on patio (tomatoes especially, since so many restaurants have pulled them)

• Buy new work clothes (nicer, since I dress like a fargin' loser)
• Take cooking class (thinking either mediterranean or italian)
• Make dentist appointment
• Make doctor appointment
• Start recording music (guitar and computer solo band, not yet named)
• Work on unfulfilled webpage ideas (got the domains and space but not utilizing)
• Create very detailed budget (for future real-estate venture and stability)
• Hit level 60 on Lineage

OK need to add another to this list...

• Sell a bunch of the crap in my storage on EBay
  

SNL DIGITAL SHORT - 'I RAN'

The Lonely Island guys never disappoint. A new music video last night, "I Ran" which makes fun of the Iranian President. The timing and sociopolitical message is genius. Less than a week after Ahmadinejad stated that there were no gays in Iran, SNL puts out a love song video with a crooning Andy Samberg and Adam Levine. Many cameos also involved.

LITTLE MISS SKOKIE

I'm back on the road again. It's been about 3-4 months since I left the Bay Area for work. Caught an 8am direct flight from SJC to ORD (Chicago) with a coworker and now here we are in Skokie, IL. The place ain't too bad...

One surprising thing is our hotel. You've got your typical DoubleTree Hotel and Convention Center, but this weekend... *drum roll*... is the "Miss Teen International" competition! So, there are 100s of hot teenaged girls running down the hallways. I wanted to read up on this "moral" competition and so I came across this webpage: Miss Teen International 2007.

The thing that made me laugh in this article was the statement:

"The national competition includes a private interview with a panel of esteemed judges. This portion consists of 40% of the score and is the most critical component of the judging process."

OK, so a huge portion of 40% is based on non-beauty qualities. So it's critical? What is the other 60% (majority) based on? Oh...well...hmmm. It's based on 3 competitions in Fashion Wear, Fitness Wear, and Evening Gowns! Wow. So isn't the "most critical component of the judging process" looking and being pretty? You can't fool me Miss Teen International! Never!!!

A NIGHT ON DIVISIDERO

A show at The Independent. I like this venue.

Myself and 2 friends saw:
-4-One-Phonics: Which ended up being 2-Sloppy-DJs-and-Funk-Band.
-Willow the Gas Lamp Killer: The most bobbleheaded passionate DJ I've ever seen.
-Crown City Rockers: Always a reliable source of fun and entertainment...Kat010 hot on the keys.
-Shotgun Wedding Quintet: Like a high school jazz band headlined by a Jim Breuer look-alike.

On the way home I nearly ran out of gas. I pulled off on Rengstorff to look for a station and came across a Valero that had all of its lights off - except for the pumps digital displays. I put my card in. It asked for my Zip - good sign. I select the grade - 91. I pull the trigger and $0.10 of gas pumps into my car and no more. Yay for about 0.028 gallons. Luckily there was a shell another mile down the road that was open. Otherwise, screwdage.

OBSERVATIONS ON A LAZY SUNDAY

-There is a "Merlion" statue just erected in a Cupertino strip mall. After some research I'm guessing that the establishment is Singaporean. Driving down Stevens Creek and seeing this caught me off-guard.

-Along the same stretch of road...a bumper sticker on a minivan that read "My other car is a stagecoach." Now, really? Well my other car is a chariot! Beat that!

-"Bear" Grylls is a God among men. I just watched an episode of Man Vs. Wild - Everglades and he has pushes all of the limits that the Croc Hunter established. Basically think of this show like the Croc Hunter, except instead of just toying with the animals, the host hunts them down with a knife and eats them! That carpenter ant larvae looked appetizing.

I hope the translation is as correct as it can be. BTW, this is one of my favorite movies of all-time. I saw it in February when I traveled to Park City, UT with a group of friends and watched several films at the Sundance Film Festival.

RESTORED ORDER

The world has righted itself and is spinning in the proper direction now. Sanjaya has been voted off American Idol. Lakisha broke the curse and probably crapped herself doing so.

I thought this day would never come. The recurring nightmares of mohawks and teenage-mustaches shall be gone forever. Now it's wonderful dreams of an Oprah-statured woman who looks like Shrek.

Sanjaya is the name of a disease. Like Salmonella.

SHE PICKLED ME SILLY...OH YES!

I Wikipediad Kelly Pickler because I saw how large her boobs have become after leaving American Idol. But...get a load of her prom dress! It's like I Dream Of Genie meets The Little Mermaid in a Wheat Field! Conversation was had:
