COACH BOWERS IS A FOOL
So Cal cancels the football game at University of Southern Mississippi because there is a category 4 hurricane heading directly for the game location. The USM coach complains that Cal cancelled the game too early. Now the hurricane is likely to strike close to their campus (and stadium) within 100miles or so. The entire campus has been closed until Monday, and yet their football coach still complains about this!
I really hope that everyone survives the storm but that their stadium floods and gets ripped to shreds. This is the lesson they need to learn.
Some speculation was that UC Berkeley has better hurricane experts and so the prediction came earlier than the decision that experts at USM could produce.

HIGH BULLET COST
So I was thinking of Rock's idea of raising the cost of bullets to $5,000 each in order to decrease the number of shootings. Here's what he stated in a stand-up routine:
"We don't need gun control. You know what we need? Bullet control. I think all bullets should cost $5,000. 'Cuz if a bullet cost $5,000, there would be no more innocent bystanders."
"Every time somebody gets shot, it'd be like, 'Dang, he must've done something. They put $50,000 worth of bullets in his head.' And people would think before they kill somebody: 'Man, I would blow your head off if I could afford it. I'm gonna get me a job, start saving, and you're a dead man.' "
Now the flaw in this idea is that criminals are entrepreneurs. Instead of spending $5,000 on a bullet, they could buy a bullet-making machine instead and crank them out in large volume.
What we really should do is sell random exploding bullets. So that way if you try to shoot someone (or something, I suppose), there is a slight chance that your hand will blow off. This might make some people think twice before committing a violent crime with a firearm.
In any case, it might just give you 2 attempts. Or 4 if you have skillz with your toes.
IT IS THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA...
So I remembered that I had an account on blogger that has been left stagnant since it was created (probably over a year ago, but I don't know the exact date off-hand). A posting on a messageboard I participate in inspired me to start using this creative medium since working on my own webpage with my slight perfectionist attitude will never produce a complete product.
