CANCELLATION DEPARTMENT

Here's a nice online chat I had recently while following-up on the cancellation of my web hosting account. I've changed the names but the dialogue remains the same...

Customer Support : Thank you for contacting SuckyHosting.com
Customer Support : Hello
Me : I put in an online request to cancel my web hosting. I have received no notification since I did this.
Customer Support : May I know why you want to close the account?
Customer Support : Can I have the account username?
Me : Found another host that is cheaper.
Me : username: Me
Customer Support : May I know how much you are paying at the new host?
Me : I just want to close the account. I don't want to be billed anymore.
Me : Let's stick to that.
Customer Support : To close the account, please submit a request from the following link:
Customer Support : https://www.SuckyHosting.com/close.htm
Me : I already submitted this request!
Customer Support : May I know when you submitted the request? Did you provide your updated email address in the request?
Me : I did this on Monday or Tuesday night of this week.
Me : I used the email address that is tied to this account.
Customer Support : I do not see the earlier request. Could you please submit the request once again. You should receive a reply within 1-2 hours.
Me : Where can i find what you call the "updated email address"?
Me : maybe you have another email address listed there.
Customer Support : Is Me@MyAddress.com still active?
Me : yes
Me : that's what i used and i received no response
Customer Support : Enter your current email address in the cancellation form
Me : This is what I did.
Me : Can I have it cancelled by phone?
Customer Support : Okay, please submit the form once again.
Customer Support : No, accounts can only be closed through the form
Me : LOL
Me : Are you serious?
Me : What if I do it again and it doesn't work?
Customer Support : Yes, the account can only be closed through the cancellation link.
Customer Support : The form is working.
Me : OK. I just did it again. Do you see the request now?
Customer Support : It should be here in 10-15 minutes.
Me : What if I don't get a notification again?
Me : This sounds like a trick to keep customers paying.
Customer Support : I will forward this issue with the cancellation department. Someone will get in touch with you via email after an hour.
Me : You have a "cancellation department" but won't take cancellation requests by phone? I think not.
Customer Support : Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me : not now. maybe later if I don't get an email.
Customer Support : Thank you for contacting SuckyHosting.com. We are here to help 24/7.
Customer Support : Have a great day. Bye.
Customer Support(CSR) has left this session.
